Quartz
- Quartzite is a type of metamorphic rock composed in a clear predominance of quartz. They derive from the dismantling and subsequent metamorphic passage of quartzarenite. Due to their excellent mechanical properties and resistance to atmospheric agents they are used in the building industry; they are used for their high silica content as a raw material in the refractories and ceramics industry, as well as in the glass production industry.
